The kids and I have been at my friend Lisa's today, the kids have played well, which has meant that Lisa and I could create! :)

Lisa told me about a design team that give away FREE stamps! :) So I thought I would enter.

Party, Party!

This weekend we celebrates my son's 7th Birthday and after being inspired by a picture that I found on www.pinterest.com I just had to have a go at creating a balloon rainbow, so here is the finished product.

A few creations!

Last week a couple of new stamp sets arrived in the mail, they are Stampin' Up!s Nature Walk & French Foliage so I have been having a play with them.

The first card using the 'Nature Walk' set also uses Bravo Burgundy & Old Olive on Very Vanilla card stock.

and the second card using the 'French Foliage' set again stamped on Very Vanilla card in Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

Then I went on to make some Christmas cards.....

Using 'Dasher' stamp, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight & Stazon Black Inks

...and finally 'Contempo Christmas' set with two of the new In-Colours - Island Indigo & Pool Party

Simple Style

 I'm off to a girls high tea tomorrow and had to come up with an idea for a facinator.

I started off making a couple of the little flower things that I got the idea from  Bec I am I didn't like the way the two of them ended up sitting together so added some ribbon loops and a bit of netting to one of them instead.  I'm now quite happy with the finished product that my dear daughter is very kindly modelling for me.

Just hope the weather holds out now, have a feeling I might be freezing in my sleeveless dress!

Mini DSP Album Workshop

I am holding a workshop on Friday 22nd July to make this wonderful little 8 page mini album using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers.  The album is perfect for photos printed at 5" x 3½" and smaller.

Workshop Details:

When: Friday 22nd July

Time: 7.30pm

Where: My Place - (more details when you book your spot)

Cost: $25

What to bring:  Double sided tape or a suitable glue  (Sticky Strip or Tombol recommended and available for pre-order when booking your place)

Extra Details:  Booking for this workshop is required by Saturday 9th July and you will need to let me know your selection of DSP from the following four choices.  A $15 deposit is required when booking this workshop to cover the cost of ordering the DSP. (cash, credit card or bank transfer) If for some reason you are then unable to attend the wokshop the DSP is yours to keep.

You will only use about ½ of your pack of  DSP when making this album the other ½ pack is yours to take away with you for your future projects.

Vintage One Sheet Wonder

I held a workshop last night and this is the project that everyone got to make using Stampin' Up! Vintage Vogue stamp set.  We made four cards using a one sheet wonder layout and then a little magazine folder to hold them.

Mini Handbags

Yesterday I was looking for a little bag template that you could make incorporating the Stampin' Up! Top Note die for the big shot.

When I came across these little handbags I thought they used the Top Note for the top but I discovered that it is all a printable template and actually a lot smaller than the Top Note, I couldn't resist having a go at making a couple and here are my finished products.  You can find the template for these cute bags here: melstampz.blogspot.com
